Walk & Talk

In Middletown, Ohio, individuals residing in 130, 131, and 132 census tracts were recruited as Community Ambassadors to empower their neighborhoods. Their role involved guiding dialogues on well-being and recognizing barriers that impede healthy living. These ambassadors are committed to building trust and enhancing safety within their communities through various initiatives such as leading discussions, participating in planning sessions, hosting a community bus tour for different agencies and leaders, and initiating interactive Walks & Talks for the residents.

First Walk & Talk dates:

• April 29th, 2023: Walk & Talk in census tract 130 (starts at Rosa Parks Elementary School)

• May 6th, 2023: Walk & Talk in census tract 131 (starts at the New Era Baptist Church)

• May 20th, 2023: Walk & Talk in census tract 132 (starts at the Church of the Nazarene)
